Survey Data Methodology

Survey & Data Methodology

This page explains how selected figures displayed on barefooterra.com are calculated, including customer survey results and internal store data. These figures are provided for transparency and informational purposes only and do not guarantee any individual outcome.

Individual experiences may vary. Survey results are self-reported and subjective. Nothing on this page is intended as medical, therapeutic, or performance advice, nor as a promise of specific results.

1) Internal Store Data (Order Records)

Where a figure is based on internal store data (for example, total orders shipped), it is calculated using the store’s ecommerce order records from barefooterra.com.

Data Source

  • Source: Internal ecommerce order history for barefooterra.com
  • Included records: Orders recorded as fulfilled/dispatch-confirmed in store records

Key Definitions

  • “Orders shipped” refers to fulfilled orders that have been dispatched according to store records. An order may contain multiple items.
  • “Customers served” (if used) refers to customer accounts associated with completed orders in store records. A single individual may place multiple orders and/or use multiple email addresses.

Note: Order-based figures reflect store records and do not describe how often or how long customers wear products.

2) Product Development Records (Design & Testing)

Where a figure is related to product development (for example, design iterations or feedback rounds), it is based on internal product development documentation.

Key Definitions

  • “Design iteration” refers to a documented revision to product specifications (e.g., materials, construction, fit, pattern, outsole, or manufacturing instructions) recorded during development.
  • “Feedback round” refers to a documented collection of product feedback used to inform revisions during development.

Note: Development figures describe internal processes and are not claims of clinical validation, certification, or guaranteed outcomes.

3) Customer Survey (Self-Reported Results)

Survey-based figures are derived from a voluntary post-purchase customer survey conducted in December 2025.

Survey Overview

  • Sample size: n = 500 respondents
  • Population invited: Customers who completed a purchase on barefooterra.com
  • Distribution method: Email invitation sent post-fulfillment
  • Geographic coverage: EU and UK customers (based on shipping destination for invited customers)
  • Response type: Self-reported answers collected online

How Survey Figures Are Interpreted

  • Comfort-related figures reflect respondents’ self-reported comparison between Barefooterra shoes and their usual footwear at the time of response.
  • Satisfaction or recommendation figures reflect respondents’ self-reported ratings at the time of response.
  • Survey results reflect personal perception and may be influenced by fit, sizing selection, personal preference, usage conditions, and activity.

Limits of Survey Data

  • Survey participation was voluntary and may not represent all customers.
  • Responses are subjective and reflect individual perception at the time of completion.
  • Results are not guarantees of future performance or experience.

4) How Figures Are Displayed

When figures are shown on barefooterra.com, we aim to label whether they are derived from internal store records or from the customer survey described above, and to provide relevant context such as sample size and survey date where applicable. This is intended to help prevent misunderstanding.
